2020 Summer Training Programs

**No Club Affiliation Required **

Our group training is designed specifically to improve and advance the individual athlete. It is a fantastic way to improve your fitness, refine your technical skills and receive tactical coaching. We will focus on individual improvement and specific game-like scenarios. Athletes will get a ton of touches on the ball and will gain confidence in their individual skills. Our training is Co-Ed. We are excited to grow this game and welcome everyone! As mentioned, you DO NOT have to be affiliated with a club to join in our the fun!

2020 Elite Training 

Our FIRST Elite Training Clinic will take part this summer, and we couldn’t be more excited! This clinic is open to advanced/elite players. SWS welcomes our Juniors and Seniors (class of 21′ and 22′) to take part in the recruitment advice portion of this clinic (soon to be announced).

Guest coaches include Katherine Bowie (Wilkes University), Jess Gray (Drew University), and Jennifer Eden (Ramapo College).

No club affiliation required.

** 4+ years of field hockey playing experience is encouraged** Spots are LIMITED

Who: 13+

When: July 27th – 29th

Preseason Clinic 

Join us for our FIRST preseason clinic! We will review game-like strategy  and IQ, along with technical skills to get you ready for your season. At the end of each session, athletes will get the opportunity to incorporate skills learned during instruction, and will apply it to a scrimmage.

Who: 6th-12th (Must have at least 1 year of playing experience)

When: August 3rd – 6th

Collegiate Training 

SWS invites seniors entering college in ’20 and current college players to our training series where we buckle down on strengthening the fundamental skills. The highlight will be on proper technique and fundamentals through high-tempo repetition sequences. Players will develop/perfect various passing techniques, shooting techniques, off-ball movement, and communication tactics. Our experienced coaches will go over stick handling, ball control, body positioning, and footwork. We will also review in-depth positioning tactics and on-field communication skills. 

Who: Seniors going into college and current college athletes

When: Monday & Wednesday – 6 sessions

Cost: $190 (non-refundable) – $30/session

Time: 7:00 AM  – 8:00 AM

Adult (Co-ed) Pick-Up  

5v5 Pick-up league! We are excited to announce our first adult pick-up – because adults can have fun, too! Join us for our pick-up series starting Monday, August 3rd.
