Imani Ruffin - Owner/Head Coach

Coach Imani has always been the “vocal and inspirational” leader. She knew that to break barriers, you must first realize your potential.

After finishing her collegiate field hockey career at Division- ll Kutztown University, she began her quest in impacting and empower athletes through field hockey. She holds herself accountable in her responsibility as a field hockey coach to speak life and vision into her athletes.

After high school, she continued her collegiate play at Division – II Kutztown University, a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference school.

For Coach Imani, building a program where athletes can grow and realize their potential in not only this sport, but in life, is what she values most. 

Taylor Nethaway - U16 Coach

 As a northern NJ native, Taylor began her career at Bridgewater Raritan High School,starting all four seasons as a midfielder for the varsity squad. There she helped lead the team to multiple conference, county and state sectional titles, earning all-conference and all-county honors along the way.

After graduating from BRHS, Taylor continued her field hockey career at the University at Albany. She started at center back for the Great Danes all four years of her career, never missing a game. She earned first and second team all-conference, all-academic team, all-championship team, all-northeast region team, and division I all-academic team honors. Throughout her time at UAlbany, the team won 2 conference championships, making 2 appearances to the Division I NCAA Tournament. Taylor finished her career as a team captain with 2 nd in career stats for defensive saves.

Taylor graduated with a Bachelors in Human Biology from the University at Albany and continued her education at Sacred Heart University where she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Following graduate school Taylor moved back to NJ and began playing for New York City Field Hockey Club with a few of her college teammates. In 2018, NYCFHC won the national club championships and in 2019 won their regular season league. Aside for her love of the game as a player,Taylor has helped coach a variety of summer camps and clinics and is looking forward to taking her coaching experience to the next level.
